The Suiren people are the proud keepers of the Manami Coast. They appear to be mostly human, however, they have a strong command of water. Some simply read the waves while others seem to have the ability to bend water to do their will. This talent is innate in Suiren children and reaches its peak when the body achieves full maturity. As the body deteriorates with age, so does this ability. Its connection to the physical body is unknown. The connection they hold with the ocean is more than just their gift with water; they worship the ocean in all her glory and view themselves as the keepers of her waters. They are firm in their faith that the ocean will always provide everything they need. Their rituals are focused on water and its connection to all. They protect the coast from harmful development and allow only one large city in their land. They promote calm lives and respect for all races by remaining neutral in wars and disputes. Suirens are a proud people and view themselves as better than everyone else. These people tend to be tall with fairly tanned skin. Women are inclined to keep their hair long and strive at all times to look as elegant as possible. Men are coastal workers and look very much the part. Beauty is recognized and worshiped here.
